Ballito Lifestyle Centre Open Air Drive In Double Feature show: “E.T.” and “Cool Runnings”

Due to popular demand, Umdwebo will be once again be hosting the Ballito Lifestyle Centre Open Air Drive In at the 2008 festival. This year we will be treated to a screening of “E.T.” directed by Steven Spielberg; and “Cool Runnings”, directed by Jon Turtletaub. This will be a family affair, and we have focused on good old fashioned classics that the whole family can enjoy when selecting this year’s features, and guests will be able to tune in on their radios for the soundtrack - just like the old days!

Once again we envision that the Lifestyle centre will be transformed into a recreation of a classic drive-in setting with the smell of freshly made popcorn wafting through the air, courtesy of ACTII Popcorn. H2O will hand out water to each vehicle, and all the restaurants in the Lifestyle Centre will have a café set up at the back, where you can enjoy a lovely meal and a glass of wine while watching the movies.

This event is proudly presented by Ballito Lifestyle Centre, one of the largest shopping centres in the Ballito area. For those who want a more substantial meal, the restaurants at the Lifestyle Centre will have a street café set up alongside the car area with relay speakers to ensure that you do not a miss a second of the screenings. The event has been designed to include the whole family, so bring the kids along for an evening full of family fun, and has become a highlight of the Umdwebo festival.
